As International Women’s Day approaches, barely a day goes by without one media outlet or another paying tribute to a brilliant female entrepreneur setting out to conquer the world. As an ageing male with a sneaking fear that I only succeeded in life because back in the 1960s and 1970s those awesomely talented and ambitious women were stymied by the clubby misogynist culture of the day, I feel nervous about pushing back.
