The Sinn Féin Ard Fheis continues in Wexford today with Party Leader Gerry Adams set to deliver his televised address at 8.30pm.
The party last night rejected a call from some members to allow its politicians vote with their conscience on abortion issues.
Sinn Fein members will spend today agreeing policies ranging from health to education and the environment.
It will also look at ways that could it believes tackle the mortgage crisis.
Calls for more health funding with particular emphasis on mental health care are likely to feature too.
Another theme that could strike a chord with many communities is the motion demanding that Government insist the expansion of the electricity grid should use only underground cables.
A timely topic also is the call from party’s Oireachtas members on local authorities to draw up climate change plans.
