Gardaí discovered the body of a man after they were called to a house in Castleknock
Gardaí in Dublin are investigating the death of a man, thought to have been in his 30s, at a house in Castleknock overnight.
A man has been arrested in connection with the incident.
Gardaí were called to the house at Beech Park Avenue in Castleknock shortly before 2am.
The body of a man, believed to be in his 30s, was discovered.
He was later pronounced dead at the scene.
A 34-year-old man was arrested in relation to the incident and is in custody at Blanchardstown Garda Station.
The scene has been sealed off and a full technical examination will take place later today.
The office of the State Pathologist has been notified.
