Munster outscored Connacht by four tries to three to win 32-23 in an entertaining encounter at The Sportsground.

Munster had built a commanding half-time lead, 27-8, after tries from Andrew Conway, Gerhard van den Heever and Denis Hurley.

Connacht put it up to them in the second-half, with Eoin McKeon’s touch-down narrowing the gap but Paddy Butler mad the game safe for the Reds in the 72nd minute.

Danie Poolman grabbed a late consolation intercept score for the hosts but they couldn’t force a losing bonus-point.
