Peter O’Mahony is the only serious injury concern to emerge from Ireland’s disappointing 13-10 RBS 6 Nations defeat to England on Saturday.
Ireland were edged out by their hosts in a tight encounter at Twickenham and O’Mahony went off injured midway through the second half.
Ireland team management confirmed that the Munster back-row suffered a hamstring strain and he will be monitored by the medical team over the course of the coming week.
There is good news elsewhere, however, as Brian O’Driscoll, who also left the field of play against England has been diagnosed with nothing more than cramp in his calf.
O’Driscoll will also be assessed in the coming week, but no long term ill-effects are expected.
The match day squad will assemble on Wednesday for a two-day camp in Belfast this week.
