For tens of thousands of Hong Kong parents, Monday was one of the most important dates of the year as they discovered whether their children had secured a place at their preferred primary schools for next September.But there was less competition with fewer applicants this year, as 23,107 children out of a total 49,749 got allocated a Primary One place in 2021-22 at the first stage of admission.
