In 2016, Cuban-American filmmaker Andrew Hevia came to Hong Kong with the intention of making an authoritative documentary about the local art scene. Filming would take place during Art Basel Hong Kong, the city’s biggest international art fair, which he believed he could navigate with ease given his familiarity with the version in Miami, his hometown.Hevia had just finished co-producing Moonlight (2016) but had yet see how successful that film would be.
