Singapore Airshow is Asia’s largest aerospace and defence event and one of the world’s most important
Government ministers from Dublin, London and Stormont are to take part in their first ever international joint trade mission early next month.
Representatives from all three administrations are to attend the Singapore Airshow to pursue trade and investment opportunities in the aviation sector.
The delegation will be led by Minister for Jobs, Enterprise and Innovation Richard Bruton, his Northern Ireland counterpart Arlene Foster, and British Transport Minister Stephen Hammond.
It will also include representatives of companies from the three jurisdictions,
Afterwards, Mr Bruton will travel to Malaysia for a separate four-day trade mission.
The initiative, which emerged from discussions involving Taoiseach Enda Kenny and British Prime Minister David Cameron, comes two months before the first ever State visit by an Irish President to the UK.
