US stocks fell on Friday morning, resuming a sell-off that has persisted all week, after the US followed through with a midnight tariff increase that some had hoped was only a trade negotiating tactic with China.With duties more than doubling to 25 per cent on US$200 billion of Chinese imports, the Dow was down as much as 1.2 per cent on Friday morning, extending a drop of 1,000 points, or 3.8 per cent this week.The S&P 500 and the Nasdaq have lost 3.8 per cent and 4.7 per cent, respectively…
