The offer to take Chinese Estates Holdings private by Hong Kong magnate Joseph Lau Luen-hung’s family was too low to accept, some shareholders said on Friday before a special general meeting where they will vote on the offer.Trading in the company’s shares was halted on Friday afternoon, according to a filing with the Hong Kong exchange.
