The man who had to amputate his own arm to get it free of a rock after he fell while hiking in Utah has been arrested for assault in Denver.
Aron Lee Ralston, 38, was arrested and booked in the Denver Jail Saturday night.
He’s facing charges of assault and wrongs to minors.
Ralston is due in court Monday afternoon.
In 2003 Ralston, a climber, escaped after five days in a Utah canyon by amputating his right arm with a dull blade after it became trapped by a boulder.
In 2010, the movie “127 Hours” was released. It starred James Franco as Ralston.
